Those social signals are SO TRICKY, right? I guess it’s too much, to ask someone to take three seconds to assess if another person is inviting interaction/conversation. Three seconds? That’s like, time enough for a whole word to be said! We gotta get this conversation moving, you know. Got stuff to do. No time to assess social cues.
I do understand that social cues are difficult for some people, particularly those on the autism spectrum. That’s one issue, quite different from the issue in this conversation: men who are unwilling to pause, read social cues, and respond respectfully to them. How dare we women demand that our social preferences be considered valid and important!
